Schilling(2-2) simply dominated Tombstone. He allowed just 4 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 4.06. Columbus managed 8 in their victory. Brett Tomko(1-2) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 3 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. When questioned about his counterpart after the game, Tomko was lavish in his praise, 'It was obvious very early on that we were going to be in for a long night. Schilling brought his 'A' game with him - he had good stuff and was able to spot it perfectly. He probably only made one or two bad pitches the entire game!
